Kraft Heinz notes that food bank usage in Canada is at an all-time high, with more first-time users than ever before. Through partnerships with Food Banks Canada, Kraft Heinz remains committed to supporting Canadians and making a positive impact in local communities. As part of the contest, stores that purchased participating Kraft Heinz products were entered to win a donation. Legacy Co-op Yorkton Food Centre was grateful to be selected as one of the winners.

The Yorkton Food Centre team scanned eligible Kraft Heinz items through the till, up to a value of $2,000. The resulting donation included a large assortment of essential items such as Kraft Dinner, peanut butter, pasta sauce, baked beans, salad dressing, ketchup, and mayonnaise.

“I think it’s great when big organizations like Kraft Heinz support our community through Co-op by donating food to local food banks,” said Blair Malysh, Yorkton Food Centre Grocery Manager. Blair and his team were proud to see the direct, tangible impact this donation will have in Yorkton.

The Salvation Army team was equally appreciative of the size of the donation, knowing it will go directly back into the community. Blair shared that contributions like this make a meaningful difference.
“With initiatives like this, it feels good to know we’re giving back more to those in our community.”
