Yorkton, SK (for immediate release) — Hundreds of health care workers in Yorkton were treated to a warm breakfast on a cool Wednesday morning behind the Yorkton Regional Hospital thanks to a unique partnership between Legacy Co-op and the Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan.

“One of the Co-op brand pillars relates to being community minded, it’s what Co-ops are known for throughout western Canada, and it is what we are doing here today,” explains Harley McClughan, Legacy Co-op General Manager. “Being able to grab breakfast and enjoy a meal together reinforces that sense of community-it’s something that means a lot.”

For the pancake breakfast, the Health Foundation hosted the event, Harvest Meats provided the breakfast sausage; Legacy Co-op provided the rest of the breakfast fixings, juice, and condiments; with Parrish and Heimbecker and Royal Ford also contributing.

“It was nice to see our staff join the Health Foundation to set up for this event, cook, serve, and do the teardown. It felt like community serving community,” McClughan stated.

Health care workers from the hospital and the neighbouring long-term care homes were in attendance.
