Good Buy to Hunger is a yearly initiative that dedicate the funds raised to helping community organizations making a commitment to help stop hunger. Teams at Legacy Co-op Food and C-Stores worked throughout the month of December to help members know the importance of the initiative and how every donation can help.
To build the impact of the total donations raised, Legacy Co-op matched donations up to $5000.00 and Farm Credit Canada (FCC) donated $500.00. The result was a total contribution distributed of $20,828.31. A ratio was used to determine the amounts given for each location based on the funds raised, SIGN Kamsack and Churchbridge Public School Snack Program both received a donation of $1,188.38.
