Legacy Co-op Fuels Up Local Community Organizations!
Legacy Co-op is proud to announce over $10,158 in donations to local community groups from Fuel Good Day 2022!
When community members filled up their tank on September 20 at Yorkton Palliser Way, Yorkton West Broadway, Kamsack, Churchbridge or Theodore locations Legacy Co-op donated 10 cents from every litre of fuel sold to the successful recipients. Richard Burym, Petroleum Division Manager says “We are proud to give back from our fuel sales to support local community organizations that are working to address the needs in our communities. Fuel Good Day was fun for the whole family with great food, contests, giveaways and special appearances by our recipients.”
This year the funds raised went towards community organizations in the Parkland area; Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Inc., Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) Kamsack, Springside Fire Department, and Churchbridge Minor Sports.
In coordination with Fuel Good Day each community recipient held a BBQ at Legacy Co-op participating locations.
Karen Renton with Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Inc. talks about the festivities at the Yorkton locations “We would like to thank Legacy Co-op and their team members for such a great day. At both Palliser Way and West Broadway Gas Bars our fosters and their animals greeted customers while they were fueling up. All our furry friends give thanks to everyone who came out for the bbq and fueled good! The proceeds of Fuel Good Day and the BBQs will go towards veterinarian bills for stray, abused and abandoned animals within the Parkland Region.”
Paws & Claws Animal Rescue (L to R) Richard, Petroleum Division Manager, Rachael (Manager, Palliser Way Gas Bar) and Sam (Manager, West Broadway Gas Bar) with their teams presented Karen from Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Inc with a cheque for their organization’s Fuel Good Day donation
